A fire at the Kertam Sukau Estate destroyed a four-door workers’ quarters, last Sunday.
Firefighters went to the location after receiving a distressed call at 11.22am, according to Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Station Chief Nurul Azlan Shah Jamaluddin
District Fire and Rescue Station Chief Mohammad Hasbullah Nenggok said any company interested in learning how to use fire extinguishers and other fire safety measures is welcome.
He said such knowledge is essential for everyone to understand the dangers of fire, particularly when flammable gases are involved.
He said this while giving a fire safety presentation to 16 employees from the Emas Dinamik Syarikat Pipeline Gas Petronas at the Beaufort Fire and Rescue Station, here, Saturday.
He also said that fires are classed as Class A, B, C, or D, and that knowing which sort of fire extinguisher to use to put out a fire based on its Classification is critical
