The Venezuelan soap opera, which first premiered in 2000 and later aired in 2002 in Malaysia, has recently been adapted into a Malay-language drama,
Hati Yang Dikhianati.
Mis Tres Hermanas, or My Three Sisters, begins with the story of older brother Augusto (Carlos Cruz) who had to take care of his younger three sisters – Silvia (Dad Dager), Lisa (Scarlet Ortiz) and Beatriz (Chantal Baudaux) – after being abandoned by their father and the death of their mother.
Later, one of its central stories is the love between playboy engineer Santiago (Ricardo Alamo) who is determined to shut down the clinic where Lisa, a nurse, works.
