Fred Merritt

Fred started his life on a farm in Yale, Oklahoma. He moved to Richmond, California, with his family, then moved to Pittsburg, California, where he graduated from high school.
When he was introduced to Dee Lynn Thompson, it was love at first sight. They married and soon after started their family, then moved to Green Valley, Fairfield, California.
He worked as an electrician for 40 years and was a 63-year member of the IBEW.
Fred was an intelligent, kind, loving and gentle soul. He loved spending time outdoors. He was a man of few words. However, when he did speak everyone listened, as it was well-known that what he had to say was important.
