Levi Andrews of Avery County and Kyle Montaperto of Central Academy became the 10th and 11th wrestlers in NCHSAA history to win four state championships.
Senior Spotlight: Jacob Mullen, East Gaston High
Jacob Mullen will graduate from East Gaston High School on Friday, May 28 as a member of the Beta Club, National Honors Society and National Art Honor Societies. Mullen spent all four of his high school years running cross-country and track at the school. He’s also an accomplished student artist.
Who has been your greatest influence and why?
MULLEN: My math teacher Mr. Michael Kaufman and my art teacher Mr. Justin Allison. Both of them have been excellent teachers and have made me want to pursue aspects of these subjects in my college career.
