Fatal wreck closes Highway 14 west of Prattville

PRATTVILLE Alabama State Troopers on Friday were on the scene of a fatal wreck that has closed a portion of Highway 14, west of Prattville.
Autauga County Joe Sedinger confirmed the road closure near the County Road 3 intersection, west of Bear Creek Swamp.
Assistant Autauga County Coroner Whit Moncrief said that two people died in the wreck. Names were not released pending notification of next of kin. Two people were taken to local hospitals in serious condition, he said. The wreck involved three vehicles.
Sedinger said that the road will be closed for a long period and advised drivers to avoid the section by taking an alternate route.
