Crime and fire report: Facebook photo blackmail in Frazee; logs intentionally placed on Detroit Lakes snowmobile trail
An individual in Frazee reported a blackmail attempt by an unknown female they met on Facebook. The two shared explicit photographs with each other and the female threatened to release them if they didn t pay her. Additionally, two large logs were intentionally set in a Detroit Lakes snowmobile trail. The responding officer removed the logs.

Crime and fire report: Person claiming to be jailed son scams $7,500 in bailout fraud
A caller in Lake Park said they received a call from someone claiming to be their son in jail. They sent $7,500 to bail them out in an apparent fraud.

At 12:35 p.m., on the 25000 block of Bear Clan Drive, Ogema, a 1999 black Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck was stolen.
Thursday, Dec. 24
At 9:01 a.m., on the 18000 block of County Road 25, Detroit Lakes, the caller’s mailbox and the neighbor’s mailbox were damaged. They believed the damage was caused by a vehicle.
