Malton Museum s first new walking tours starts next week. A tour around Cawthorn Camps and Beadlam Roman Villa, will take place on Wednesday, July 14 at 11am and 2pm, repeated Saturday, August 21. This will be followed by the first re-imagined tour of the Roman Fort site at Orchard Fields. A spokesperson said: Our volunteers are nothing if not enthusiastic and will guide you through the life of the Roman Legionary at the Fort in costume and the Vicus (developing town) surrounding it.
