One COVID-related death and 17 new cases of COVID-19 were reported by the Haldimand Norfolk Health Unit on Tuesday morning.
Seven new recoveries were also reported, making the local number of active cases 81 between the two counties.

Since the pandemic began there have been 817 positive cases of COVID-19 in Haldimand and Norfolk. Of the positive cases, 697 people have recovered.
There have been 91 new cases reported in the last two weeks.
Outbreaks have been declared at three long term care homes in Haldimand Norfolk.
Due to provincial guidelines, one person needs to test positive for an outbreak designation and that is what happened.
One staff member at each facility received a positive COVID-19 test.
The facilities are Caressant Care in Courtland, Norview Lodge in Simcoe and Beacon Home community residence in Dunnville.
The Health Unit is working with the facilities to institute a public health management plan.
