Two hour power outage in East Utica
National Grid says a branch falling on a tree is what caused power to go out for about two hours for more than 1,700 customers in East Utica Saturday afternoon.

Utica, N.Y. - A section of East Utica was without power Saturday afternoon for a couple of hours.
National Grid tells us a branch of a tree came down on a power line on Beachgrove Place, which runs parallel with Bleecker Street in East Utica.
The branch was burned and power went out.
1,730 customers were without power from about 12:50 p.m. until 2:45 p.m..
