CHICAGO (July 8, 2021) The U.S. Beach Soccer Men’s National Team will face the Football Union of Russia, Japan and Paraguay in Group A at the upcoming 20212 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, which will take place Aug. 19-29 in Moscow, Russia. The final draw for the competition took place today at FIFA headquarters in Zurich.
The USA is making its sixth appearance at the Beach Soccer World Cup and has qualified for consecutive tournaments for the first time since the 2006 and 2007 editions. The U.S. kicks off the Beach Soccer World Cup on Thursday, Aug. 19 vs. host Football Union of Russia, takes on Japan on Saturday, Aug. 23 and finishes the group stage on Monday, Aug. 23 vs. Paraguay. All tournament matches will be played in Moscow at the Luzhniki Beach Soccer Stadium.
