RCMP have given their account of the arrest of a man who refused to wear a mask at a Coldstream business.
Police were called to Alexander’s Beach Pub and Liquor Store in the 12000 block of Kalamalka Road on Tuesday, Feb. 23 around 4:15 p.m.
Constable Chris Terleski, media relations officer, said an officer was informed by staff that a man, who was present when police arrived, entered the business not wearing a mask.
“When employees advised the man of the requirements and requested he wear a mask, the man became belligerent and began to berate and yell at staff members. The man further refused to leave the property when he was asked to do so by the owner, who then contacted police for assistance. After the responding officer was not able to persuade the man to leave willingly, the man was arrested for trespassing and was removed from the property,” Terleski told
