T&G Santa: Salvation Army providing kids with genuine Christmas experience
Debbie LaPlaca
WORCESTER – The Salvation Army Worcester Citadel calls upon T&G Santa to give more than 1,500 children in need “the fullest experience as possible for the holidays.”
In 1897, six years after the Red Kettle appeared in the U.S., the Salvation Army of Massachusetts became the first organization on the East Coast to raise money by ringing the bell at Christmas. That work continues today with a mission to help rescue Christmas for those facing hunger, poverty, and job loss.
The Salvation Army’s many humanitarian services include case management, food support, child services, senior programs, emergency disaster relief and housing aid.
