The move comes amid concerns about the presence of weapons and drugs raised by the B.C. Nurses' Union, and the circulation of a leaked health authority memo dealing with drug use.
The BC Nurses’ Union organized a rally Wednesday to hold the government accountable for its promises to deal with shortages and highlight ongoing staffing and workload issues.
Last week, the union reached a tentative agreement with the provincial government that included "record-setting compensation" for B.C. nurses and "mandatory nurse-patient ratios."
