A 42-year-old man working with a private company was duped by a gang of fraudsters who claimed to be from the police. According to the Bazarpeth police, on Dec 24, the complainant received a phone call from a person who identified himself as assistant sub-inspector Sanjay Tyagi and claimed to be calling from the Delhi Police headquarters.
The Bazarpeth police in Thane has registered a criminal offence against a man for allegedly posting a clip related to child pornography online. The case was registered after the local police was tipped-off by the Thane's Cyber Cell police.
According to the Bazarpeth police, on August 10, the complainant had done online recharge of his phone. However, the recharge got failed but Rs 299 got debited from his account and was not credited back.
