Long Beach approves contracts for food vendors at three beach concession stands • Long Beach Post News

- ADVERTISEMENT - The concession stands at Mother’s Beach, Bayshore Beach and Junipero Beach all had contracts approved by the council Tuesday night with Louisiana Charlie’s, Grill ‘em All and Saltwater Deck winning the contracts at those respective locations. The contracts for Louisiana Charlie’s and Grill ‘em All are for five years while Saltwater Deck’s contract at the Junipero location is a three-year contract. All of the contracts begin July 1. All locations will serve a mix of burgers and of other options like frozen yogurt, vegan ceviche, pulled pork sandwiches and breakfast burritos, depending on the location.

A power outage Saturday caused a pump station to fail, spilling approximately 50,000 gallons of sewage into the Los Cerritos Channel on Long Beach s eastern border, according to a city news release. Long Beach city health officer Dr. Anissa Davis ordered a temporary closure of the city s roughly seven miles of shoreline.
