The launch, titled “Rise of The Selfie” dived into the selfie’s history and why it has become such an essential feature of the current generation. It aligned with a cause TECNO has been championing: a smartphone is not about the brand, but about the individuality of each consumer.

Bayer Nigeria Limited, a subsidiary of Bayer AG, Germany, has been applauded by the Maize Association of Nigeria (MAAN) for its efforts to increase productivity in the Maize sub-sector through its “Much More Maize” toolkit targeted at increasing maize yield for farmers across the country.
The commendation came from the President, the Maize Association of Nigeria (MAAN), Alhaji Bello Abubakar during the just concluded 3rd edition of the Nigeria Maize Conference which was held virtually in Abuja on the 22nd of April 2021.
In his presentation, Abubakar outlined the challenges facing the industry and the efforts of the MAAN to tackle and overcome these challenges. He stated that maize production declined in 2020 from 12.6 million tons produced in 2019 to 12.4 million tons representing a 1.555% reduction due to rainfall deficit and low-level cultivation of improved and drought tolerant maize varieties.

In its bid to address the productivity gap in maize production in Nigeria, stakeholders have proffered innovative solutions to assist farmers maximize their farm use and secure their harvest from pests and diseases.
At the third edition of maize conference, organised by Bayer Nigeria Limited a German agronomical company, titled: “Much More Maize,” the participants spoke on the need for quality products rather than consumption; the use of improved seeds for agricultural value and quality maize production; and opportunities to sustain maize smallholder farmers in Nigeria, among others.
Over the years, stories have been told of how success changes people. Well, this has not been the case of the Chairman/CEO of Air Peace airlines, Barr. Allen Onyema. At least, not in the books of those who don’t have anything personal against the man.
The Nigerian born social activist and billionaire never cease to create an impression of a man who not only cares for his countrymen but one who is humble and down to earth. Bayer Nigeria Limited, a German company that produces agrochemical and other agricultural input production has trained 350 Agribusiness owners on agrochemical use for crop protection in partnership with Akwa-Ibom State for the Ibom3000 project.
The training was powered by the Akwa-Ibom State Ministry of Trade and Investment in partnership with Bennycom Agro & Farm Nig ltd to empower youths on the use of agricultural inputs and other areas of agricultural development.
The Field Solution Manager of Bayer Nigeria Ltd, Ahmed Bello, who trained the farmers on “Crop protection in farming; what edge does it offer” covered areas of pest and weed infestation and their effect on farming, control methods, effectiveness, and integrated pest management system.
