By Brian Mudd Florida News that impacts you – April 21st, 2021 Bottom Line: Your daily recap of the some of the biggest news from around the state that impacts you in South Florida. Better news regarding the spread of COVID-19 on Tuesday as the Florida Department of Health reported 5,645 new cases – well below the prior week’s total breaking the month-long trend of a rise in cases. Florida’s averaged about 6,300 cases per day over the past week – in line with where we were on February 17th. As of Tuesday’s vaccine report, over 8.1 million Floridians have been vaccinated with at least a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine including 5.2 million who’ve now completed a vaccine series.
