ON July 10, 10 architects from the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP), led by National President Richard M. Garcia, embarked on a significant journey to the Holcim Innovation Hub in the city of Lyon, France. They traveled there upon the invitation of Rein Reyes, the commercial influencer engagement manager of Holcim Philippines. The trip promised a whole-day exposure to the company s state-of-the-art innovation hub and showroom, aimed at introducing the architects to the most innovative and sustainable solutions in the built environment industry, and fostering a collaborative environment for co-creating progress for people and the planet.
ARTICLE 2 of the Code of Ethical Conduct for Architects states that the architecture profession carries with it responsibilities toward the public, whether such responsibilities are the natural outcome of good citizenship or of his/her professional pursuit, or whether they partake of informative and educational matters or of his/her normal interest in public welfare.
