We have been focussed on this story because one of the concerns is public safety. On friday the judge ordered the suspect to wear an ankle monitor after she saw the video of the attack which wasnt presented initially in court. The fact that he was released out a real plan around how were going to get him the help that he needs to not do what he did again, thats what im concerned about. Supervisor matt heyny weighed in saying in a new statement it is unacceptable for people with severe Mental Illness to be released to our treats without being Homeless Navigation Centers could also be coming to other parts of San Francisco.
