A lot of you have today off maybe youre headed up to the mountains for ski week. The three of us grew up in the bay area so the question is did you guys have ski week text no. A lot of people are talking about the bay area whether because it was extremely cold today but you are saying wait until tomorrow. Opening a seven but there are actually apparently letting people and now they will stay open 24 hours a day. This is through wednesday offering people to escape the cold. We bottomed out at 37 degrees which is dangerous in the elements for a long time. Residents are being asked to check on neighbors in older adults and those with those disabilities with disabilities to make sure that their houses are warmed. Officials will allow anybody to come without a reservation after 8 pm. Human services will be open 24 hours a day. The First Unitarian Church will house the first 66 men that show up. This building went up in flames. Still very much antive fire fight with the oakland fire truck spewing water from high above. It all began at this abandoned library at 1449 miller. We have this video from passers by. It once housed the carnegie library. But its been abandoned for about 15 years. Squatters have took over the building to use drugs and engage in prostitution. There were two fires in the same building after each fire it was all boarded up and people got in each time. So far no reports of injuries. We responded and found an old library abandoned for some time. One person has died and two others are critically injured in a house fire in the lakeshore neighborhood. The fire broke out around 11 oclock last night on calmar avenue. Firefighters say four adults and two children lived inside the home. When crews arrived. Smoke was coming from the home and two people were suffering from smoke inhalation. darya the children and one other adult got out safely. Another adult was rescued from the second floor.
