BAY CITY, MI One Bay City resident who said she was displaced from her apartment of about four years so it could be converted into an Airbnb is Nichole Bartel. Before she moved out, she shared common areas with Airbnb users who were renting other units in her building. Initially, that didn’t bother her.
Then Bartel briefly left a crate of vinyl records outside her unit, only to have it disappear. She knocked on the door of an Airbnb rental and found those inside had taken the crate.
