A NEW pop-up exhibition is taking place in West Bay, highlighting the impact of single use plastic packaging on our seas. West Bay Discovery Centre’s latest pop-up exhibition, Turning the Tide, explores the timeline of how plastic developed and has been used. The exhibition will be going ahead until the end of October. It highlights the problems associated with the single-use plastics that are now widely used in packaging. Turning the Tide aims to educate visitors on how they can help in the fight to curb the ever-increasing amounts of microplastics in our oceans. The exhibition includes an interpretation of J.W Turner s famous painting of West Bay, cleverly created by members of the Bridport Shed using litter found on the beach.
