Shawna Virago, Haitian-born and UK-based Alt-Americana Country-Noire singer

Cindy Emch of Secret Emchy Society, who curated the line-up, with

Collectively, and on their own, these musicians have broken stereotypes about Country and Americana music being only about straight romance gone wrong. Through their multi-faceted songwriting, they bring new perspectives with some traditional twang. This year I curated a show called The Future is. Queer Country, wrote Cindy Emch in her newsletter. It showcases a diverse group of mother-trucking queer country rock stars.
