Due to lack of funds, civic body has not tackled rise of pig population in Sopan Baug, leaving residents in lurch
The human-stray conflict in Sopan Baug and its neighbouring areas has been ongoing for some time now, and residents are frustrated at having received no response from the relevant authorities. The pandemic has doubled the number of untended-to pigs in the area in a short span of time, leaving residents in a bit of a fix.
The ward office authorities stated that despite contacting higher authorities, they have also not heard back and aren’t in a position to help them out as a result.
