A magnitude 4.7 earthquake near Baturaja, Sumatera Selatan, Indonesia, was reported only 11 minutes ago by Indonesia s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency, considered the main national agency that monitors seismic activity in Indonesia. The earthquake occurred at an intermediate depth of 129 km beneath the epicenter in the afternoon on Wednesday 3 March 2021 at 5:34 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.

The United States Geological Survey reported a magnitude 4.6 quake in the United States near Sand Point, Aleutians East County, Alaska, only 24 minutes ago. The earthquake hit early morning on Wednesday 3 March 2021 at 4:54 am local time at a moderately shallow depth of 20 miles. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 4.6 earthquake as well.

Just 11 minutes ago, a 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck near Nemuro, Nemuro-shi, Hokkaido, Japan. The tremor was recorded after midnight on Thursday 28 January 2021 at 12:27 am local time, at a shallow depth of 19.6 km below the surface.
The event was filed by NIED, the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 4.3 earthquake as well.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Nemuro (pop. 31,200) located 94 km from the epicenter.
