forth. david chalian, you have some information for us at the battleground desk. jake, we re going to try to break down the vote here by voting method. what we ve be done here if you look, what you see is that if you look at just mail vote, that is an overwhelmingly favorable category for raphael warnock. he s winning it by 30 percentage points. and there s still, look here, 23.6% uncounted mail votes. now, we think mail is the smallest portion of the vote overall. but let me add in now this early in-person vote. here is a critical vote for warnock. he s leading the early in-person vote, much of what we see in the vote boards that you re looking at with john, by 9.4%. how much of that is left to count? well, most of it is counted. only about 9.5% of that early in-person vote is left to be counted. but that is a good category for
said they will have seen a candidate able to fundraise the way rafael warnock can in forever. if you re waiting for drunk driver to hand over some money, you might be waiting a long time. he s not one known to hand over cash. especially not in a situation like this where he s not being embraced with open arms. but for a moment on rafael warnock. it s not just warnock. he is perhaps the ideal democratic candidate for this state. he is pastoring martin luther king s church. he is an authentic figure for the state. he has the support of the party and has been a unifying figure for the party. but there has been years and years of democratic work on the ground in georgia that could be paying off. just the fact that there s a runoff. that s a really, really important point. jake? thank you. let s go now to the battleground desk with some information about what we re seeing out of cobb county. yeah. as you and john were talking about cobb county earlier, some
fraud trial. also tonight the january 6th select task committee says its members have decided to make criminal referrals to the justice department though they have not yet revealed who will be targeted in those referrals. covering all this tonight with me dana bash, abby philip, manu raju, and john king over at the wall tracking the georgia votes county by county. david chalian at our battleground desk covering the early and election day votes. and pamela brown at our voting desk keeping tabs of any issues that come up as the ballots are processed and reported. and also have correspondents here on the ground throughout georg washington and georgia where the votes are being counted. what are you hearing from the warnock camp tonight? reporter: well, jake, we ve learned senator warnock is going to be gearing up for election night right here in atlanta.
mail-in ballots. every single person who register to vote here in the state of nevada received a mail-in ballot. so, they have received lots of them over the last two weeks. in addition to that, as long as it was postmarked by yesterday, the mail-in ballots can be received by this saturday. so, we don t know on thursday, friday or saturday how many more ballots are coming. it could be a huge number also. so, there s a lot still to come. so when the day started, the race between senator catherine cortez masto and adam laxalt, the republican challenger, he was up by about 22,000 votes. after the count of initial 13,000 ballots today, she has gained about 5000 votes. so, she has tight in this race. if anyone is going to tell you, we know who is going to win this, one thing you can tell them gary tuchman, thanks. i want to go to david chalian at the battleground desk. david, what are you looking at right now? hey, anderson, we are
the most populous county as well. and they have just under 400,000 votes that have to be counted. and we also know that the second largest county pima county has just reported they have 159,000 votes that still need to be counted. and they do not think they will get all of those counted until november 14th or 15th. that took a few people by surprise. but this is because they are looked through very carefully to make sure everything is verified. and then they will count those ballots. that s where we are right now. we are looking at the two most populous counties. one of them where we ll start getting some more numbers coming down in about an hour. the other one we may not hear until november 14th, 15th, the actual final vote count from pima county. that is surprising that that s going to take that long. let s go to the battleground desk where we find david chalian. tell us more about this because we have to wait until the 14th or 15th?
