Métis Nation Saskatchewan providing funding to keep North Battleford shelter open
The Métis Nation Saskatchewan (MN-S) has announced they will be providing money to help keep a North Battleford homeless shelter open.
In a media release sent out late last Friday the MN-S said they were stepping in to provide funding to the Lighthouse Living Emergency Shelter in North Battleford. The facility was in danger of closing due to lack of funding.
The organization’s housing minister Ryan Carriere said in the release given the current pandemic and situation in the city they felt it was important to offer support.
