Coney Island officials say a water main break in the Sunlite Pool area will delay the park s scheduled Saturday, May 29, opening by about 10 days. The leak emerged on Tuesday and since then, a team has been working to identify and rectify the issue. Unfortunately, to address the issue, Sunlite Pool had to be significantly drained and it will require time to complete the work and refill the pool, officials said in a news release.
All tickets purchased for the dates that Coney Island is temporarily closed will be honored on any public operating day through the 2021 season, they said.
