Man charged in Princeton shooting reaches plea deal

PRINCETON, Ind. (WFIE) - The man who had been facing an attempted murder charge in Princeton has reached a plea deal.
Court records show Malachi Billings pleaded guilty to Aggravated Battery and Battery Resulting in Bodily Injury.

Authorities say he shot
Jones was charged with robbery. Authorities say he stole Billings’ wallet, which let to the shooting.
Jones was hit in the side of the head and the chest, but released from the hospital the next day.

A Marion was arrested this week and is facing charges stemming from a 2020 murder.
According to Marion Police Department Deputy Chief Stephen Dorsey, 29-year-old Cody Hickman has been charged with Murder, Felony Murder, robbery resulting in serious bodily injury, a Level 2 Felony, Battery By Means a deadly weapon, a Level 5 Felony, and Battery Resulting in Moderate Bodily Injury, a Level 6 Felony.
Police say the charges stem from the murder of 30-year-old Deandre Oliver, who was found dead from multiple stab wounds on Feb. 25, 2020.
According to Dorsey, Hickman’s bond is set at $500,000. On Air Now
