Shes one of hundreds demonstrating outrage over the two separate Police Shooting deaths of castile in minnesota and alton sterling in baton rouge. To watch that on social media was some of the most traumatizing footage that ive ever seen in my life. Reporter the multicultural crowd held signs that read, quote, stop police brutality, stop racist police and stop racial terror. Philando castile was at a traffic stop where police shot him. In baton rouge, they opened fire, killing him. We dont know what happened before the video footage. We dont know w were watching police who we all pay for them to protect us murder their own citizens. I just i dont understand how nothing is being done. The left lane getting by. This is a huge delay early this morning. Also rail riders just be aware of the red line is single tracking. Orange, blue and silver line delays, because of a signal problem. Developing morning, traffic moving again on suitland parkway after a fatal pedestrian accident. Were told a man was hit and killed as he crossed the street near the naylor road intersection. Were not sure if he was in the crosswalk there. Traffic was shut down in both directions for several hours. Traffic just reopened within the last 30 minutes. A developing story now out of baton rouge where a community is mourning the loss of three Law Enforcement officers. 32yearold Montrell Jackson had been an officer since he was 22 years old. Friends called him passionate about his job. 41yearold magazine ewe Matthew Gerald had been on the force for less than a year sheriffs deputy for 24 years. He was 45 years old. Indicating its a weather alert day. Well have updates as the storms approach. We can see them on storm team 4 radar. Areas in yellow and orange, those are the strongest storms and theyre now roaring across Montgomery County just coming out of loudon into Fairfax County and further south, northern Prince William county and down toward stafford and spotsylvania as well. Theyre advancing to the south and east getting closer to the metro area here in about another half hour or so. Just about to hit gaithersburg and across the Potomac River it looks like to the north and west of ashton and that area and further south across route 50 to northern Prince William county. This is coming into Fairfax County and Montgomery County shortly. These towns will be affected. Gaithersburg, rockville, fairfax city, washington itself by 5 00.
