BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Childrenâs Advocacy Center continues to see more child abuse cases, and some are linked to the increase in homicide rates.
More time inside and less time spent at school. The Baton Rouge Childrenâs Advocacy Center (CAC) says that combination has led to more child abuse cases.
âTheir world has been upside down. You know, children find safety in routine and ritual, and since they havenât been going to school for a good part of the year and the school situation has been changing back and forth. Thereâs a lot of uncertainty and unpredictability,â says Tony Bankston who is the chief executive officer at the Baton Rouge CAC.
