Punjab Police foiled planned target killings in Bathinda, arresting three with links to an ISI-controlled Pakistan-based terror module. Recovering eight weapons and 30 cartridges, DGP Gaurav Yadav revealed their identities as Rajbhupinder Singh, Raman Kumar, and Jagjit Singh. The trio, nabbed near Gobindpura bridge, allegedly communicated with inmates under UAPA in Sangrur Jail. They sourced weapons from Madhya Pradesh, aiming for state-wide chaos. Investigations continue to uncover more connections and recover additional weapons.
In this paddy season, as many as 2,900 fire incidents took place in Bathinda till Wednesday and according to the action taken report (ATR) of Punjab government, actual farm fire incidents were 1778 only and the rest had reasons other than farm fire.
The Punjab Police claimed to have foiled planned targeted killings in the state by arresting three individuals linked to an ISI-controlled Pakistan-based terror module. The arrested individuals were found in possession of pistols, magazines, and live cartridges.
