Sri Lankan FIDE Master Susal de Silva of Nalanda College once again stole the limelight on the fourth day of the Asia Continental Hybrid Chess Championship, which continued yesterday.
The fifteen-year-old figured in a tough battle and finally managed to finish with a draw against the Kazakhstan International Master, Assaubayeva Bibisara (2,381). Earlier, in round one, de Silva drew with Uzbekistan FIDE Master Sattarov Bobir and in the third-round he won against the Mongolian FIDE Master Chinguun Sumiya.
De Silva started this tournament with a ranking of 63 and now he has moved to rank 39 which is the best rank among the four Sri Lankan players competing in this tournament.
