travis speculated there has been a lot of bad behavior by league members themselves and they are lecturing the people how awful this country is. could that be part of it? i have two takes here. first, i m a sports fan. i m a former athlete. i m old enough to remember that basket brawl back in 2005, so there is no place for that. these guys need to be banned for at least some chunk of time. i also will say, though, one of my consistent takes is that we re getting a bit hysterical as a society. so in one of these cases, a player stomped on the boston celtics leprechaun logo, and there was an empty plastic water bottle thrown. we don t need a focus for that but that guy has to be out for at least a year. no place for that and a lot had to contribute to that covid, being isolated in these big cities for a year.
