ARGOS bosses have insisted a “range of measures” are in place after shoppers reported chaotic queues and a shortage of social distancing. Queues at the shop, in the Pipps Hill Retail Park, Basildon, stretched around the retail park in the days following Christmas as people attempted to collect purchases. The shop has been hit with a host of complaints, with shoppers likening the chaos to Black Friday. Lee Moorton, 49, from Billericay, raised concerns about a lack of social distancing as people fought there way to the entrance on December 24, 26 and 27. Mr Moorton claimed people were left clustered together when they reached the front of the queues and many queued for hours to be told items were not in stock.
