A CROOK who was found with pliers was spotted stealing four bikes at a train station. Gary Taylor, of Orchard Road in Maldon, was sentenced to four weeks and six weeks behind bars, to run concurrently, after bike thefts from Wickford train station. In October, 22-year-old Taylor, and another man were seen by a member of the public in possession of four bikes at the railway station, off Jersey Gardens. The member of the public informed police who stopped Taylor, while the other rode away. British Transport Police officers attended the station and spoke to a person who told them their bike had been stolen, matching the description of a bike seized from Taylor.
He was also given six points on his licence.
