Two major projects which connect communities in Marriaqua have been completed. These are: a new footpath which connects the Glenside community to the main road, and the Dumbarton River Defence. The Glenside Footpath is approximately 758ft long, complete with safety rails and drains, and was done under the Basic Needs Trust Fund at a cost of over $400,000.
