#TitansGive, Cal State Fullerton’s annual day of giving, is an opportunity for the entire Titan family to come together (virtually) to support student success. The
March 9 event is a 24-hour online donation marathon filled with fun giving challenges, contests and sponsored matches, and all gifts go toward the university’s “It Takes a Titan” campaign.
On last year’s inaugural day of giving, Titans rallied to raise more than $230,000 in one day.
A year later, the need remains great, and has only been exacerbated by the pandemic. The Abilene-Taylor County Public Health District has 1,460 doses of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to administer at a clinic Thursday at the Abilene Convention Center, with more coming next week. We anticipate that we will be able to get a sixth dose out of some of the vials, said Annette Lerma, public health director, potentially turning that supply into about 1,600 doses.
Because of scheduling, the health district had announced Wednesday morning that walk-up availability might be accepted at the Thursday clinic. By 3:20 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, however, officials announced that all appointments had been filled.
