Fly Creek Fire Company Seeking New Junior Firefighters
The Fly Creek Volunteer Fire Company is now accepting applications for our Junior Firefighter Program. Individuals ages 14 to 18 can apply to become a Junior Firefighter. Junior Firefighters serve in a support role for the senior firefighters at actual emergencies as a supplement to the formal training program. Members shall attend training drills with the full department. The Junior Firefighters are an integral part of the firefighting team during emergencies, and at age 16, are allowed to enroll in Basic Exterior Firefighting Operations and than move on to Interior Firefighting Operations given by New York State Fire Instructors.
