republican because where the president started and where he is today and miles apart there are a great checklist of things that other republicans can be happy with. one another thing, i ve heard concerns from the people in the senate about what was going to happen with defense spending and because of the increase in the baseline spending in december. i think they can live with it and it will get a lot of votes. progressives think they got sold down the river. social security, medicaid, medicare all staying safe and not being touched at all. i think the republicans obsession to poor people assuming people want to be poor and don t have the fight inside of them to work hard is offensive and i think it will ultimately become a backlash, but i think the way that they were able to negotiate and protect veterans people who are homeless is very important. i also think, though s kevin mccarthy going to be able to get it done in his caucus and we were all sitting here trying to
