made it worse in my view. ben bernanke s quantitative easy one, two and probably three hasn t worked, it s caused more problems than its worth and frankly i don t see anything happening to the economy to make me optimistic in the near term. long term the politics will determine what real policies will go on in 2013. i m really hopeful about that. in the near term i m not. jenna: let s talk about the politics side now, because the president in a few moments is going to be addressing a crowd and talking about the manufacturing sector, job growth there, job training. if you were his adviser, is that where you would be focusing right now? well i think that is the only area that looks at all attractive from his standpoint. i mean with the dollar as weak as it is u.s. goods have become a little bit more competitive especially in the manufacturing area off a very, very low base manufacturing has improved. that is about the only thing he can talk about. to be honest with you. he s promised a
