see you guys. on a new mexico bridge, a base jumper s ambitious attempt at acrobatics spins out of control as he crash lands on the bottom of a rocky gorge. he just died. they say if you start base jumping, you re going to die base jumping. it s only a matter of time. in 1998, base jumper alex walkling attempts his 98th base jump off the rio grande gorge bridge in taos, new mexico. his brother ralph is there to film it. alex estimates the 600-foot drop will last eight seconds, giving him a four-second free-fall before he has to pull the rip cord. if you don t pull your chute in time, you re going to hit the ground. that will make it dangerous. simply jumping off a bridge isn t insane enough for alex so

he s had a couple of drinks at this point. he s had a few vodka cranberries. but as the boozy b.a.s.e. jumper prepares to take the plunge a california highway patrol officer drives up. police. don t even think about it. pull it back up right now. i ll sit here and wait for you. options are a, get in the back of a cop car with a guy who looks pretty pissed, or b, b.a.s.e. jump over an ocean. i m going with b any day. i m sorry. i got to do it. the guy does it. does a little roll in the sky, pops the chute out. then about 15 seconds later there he is on a beach. after a perfect landing on the beach, he then lands in jail. ultimately convicted of disobeying a police officer. among other charges. he spends 69 days in the slammer. you did that, buddy.
september and the b.a.s.e. jumper is former trade center worker and while the daredevil walked away no worse for the wear, he s in serious trouble with the cops. and his two accomplices are facing charges. they say there was nothing but a fence keeping them from the site. he s a former ironworker and just last week that teen that made his way up there. some security issues there. a little scary. i live down there, so i hope they ramp up the security. when it comes for grooming, one u.s. city will spare no expense. you and i know a little bit about that. we re not talking about l.a., miami or even here in new york city. we re actually talking about men in seattle spend the most money on grooming products. how much do they drop?
