Renowned Radiologist Dr. Kakarla Subba Rao Passes Away Published by GulteDesk April 16, 2021 Former Director of Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Dr Kakarla Subba Rao passed away in the wee hours of Friday. About a month back Subba Rao got admitted in Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Secunderabad with age-related health complications. According to doctors at KIMS, Subba Rao breathed his last this morning. He was born on 25 January 1925 in Pedamuttevi, a small village in Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh. He pursued MBBS in Andhra Medical College in the year 1950 and later landed in the USA. He served as Professor of Radiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York and in 1985 he returned to the country inspired by NTR.

Meet KCR, The Barber Giving Free Haircuts To Cancer Patients to Mark Telangana CM s Birthday Feb 15, 2021, 15:05 IST Kodi Cheldra Ramesh, who likes to call himself KCR, is a 40-year-old barber who has decided to serve the State like his idol Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.  Every year, celebrating the birth week of the CM, Ramesh offers free barber services to cancer patients. He was seen wearing a PPE kit and giving a shave and a haircut for free to cancer patients outside the Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.  “Most barbers hesitate to provide haircuts for poor cancer patients. Life has become more difficult for them after the Covid-19 pandemic. I am devoted to serving these patients for five days until February 17, the CM’s birthday,” said Ramesh.
