WEST Brom kept their slim chances of Premier League survival alive with a resounding 3-0 win over woeful Saints at The Hawthorns. After dominating the early stages, the Baggies had to wait until the closing minutes of the first half to take the lead. Matheus Pereira broke the deadlock from the penalty spot after he had been fouled by Fraser Forster, before Matt Phillips doubled the tally.
Saints showed some signs of fight in the second period, but the game was put to bed when Callum Robinson fired home on the break. James Ward-Prowse had a chance to pull one back in stoppage time, but saw his penalty saved by Sam Johnstone as West Brom secured back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
