BARTLETT â Bartlett Congregational Church has reopened its doors after being closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rev. Pojen Lee, well known pastor to the area, has agreed to come to the Bartlett Church as a guest minister for six weeks beginning Sunday, Aug. 1.
As guest preacher, Rev. Pojen Lee, intends to bring forth a series of life s major issues throughout his six Sunday services, Aug. 1 through Sept. 5.
Pojen, currently resides in Washington D.C. where he assists three local churches and leads two spiritual enrichment groups from American and Taiwanese communities.
Many people know Pojen and his energy, passion and enthusiasm since he served at Jackson Community Church as a full-time pastor for 16 years.
The town of Conway will hold its parade on Sunday, July 4, at 1:30 p.m.
American Legion Posts 46 and 95 will participate in the parade.
Due to the Main Street road construction project along Route 16 in Conway Village, the parade will follow a new route this year. The parade is scheduled to go from Hillside Avenue down Washington Street to the four-way traffic lights, then turn east to the Irving Gas Station and head north on Route 16 to the northern entrance of Conway Marketplace.
Conway Village Fire Chief Steven Solomon said that he didnât think Main Street would be âtenableâ for a parade route due to the construction. However, he didnât want to see the parade leave the village.
