PINELLAS COOUNTY, FL Preregistration for COVID-19 vaccinations for anyone 65 and older re-opens today, Friday, Jan. 15, following a new shipment of 10,000 doses from the State of Florida. Appointments start early next week and are expected to fill quickly.
Appointments are mandatory to get the vaccine and can be scheduled online through the new CDR HealthPro™ portal starting at 10 a.m. at www.patientportalfl.com.
The appointments are expected to be booked very quickly, and residents who are unable to book theirs on Friday may sign up on the portal for alerts when the next State shipment arrives. There are no vaccines available for residents without appointments, and there is no waiting list.

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL Pinellas County residents 65 and older should soon be able to start pre-registering for a second round of COVID-19 vaccines sent by the State of Florida, health officials said at Tuesday s Board of County Commissioners meeting.
Approximately 10,000 vaccines will be available for first dose starting next week, Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County Director Dr. Ulyee Choe said.
The state-run health department is also partnering with Pinellas County in a contract with a new company to operate an online and phone registration system that s also being used by Pasco, Hillsborough, Orange and other Florida counties.

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL Despite some frustrating technical glitches, the Florida Department of Health in Pinellas has completed preregistration for the first 3,000 vaccines, all the doses sent to the Pinellas County to date.
The DOH, a state agency, is teaming up with Pinellas County government to alleviate future vaccination hurdles. A joint effort is now underway to identify a reliable preregistration platform that will make it easy for people to sign up to receive the coronavirus vaccine when more is available.
