The project is so special to us, we thought it would be good to honor a unit that actually camped here in the charleston area. We really like to sit in. We kind of put two and two together for us. They were a militia unit from 1787 andeston issue, actually remained active until the spanishamerican war. They were upperclass gentleman from the charleston area. The weather was a little bit different for them than they would have had. They suffered a great deal. The russians were very poor and they suffered a lot from sickness. We actually found some diaries from soldiers who camp here. Was one of the soldiers here, and we did Research Online for other diaries, so the internet has been a great source for finding information on these men.
