Senior pupils to stay at home in bid to cut virus numbers SENIOR pupils at three Glasgow schools are currently staying away from school in a bid to tackle rising Covid-19 cases. Children in S4-6 at Bellahouston Academy, Shawlands Academy and Holyrood Secondary School all in the city s South Side have been offered a period of study leave from May 24 - June 11 so that they can swot for upcoming assessments. It is hoped that by staying at home, rising numbers of Covid-19 cases in the South Side can be brought under control. However, those who have an assessment or supported study will still be able to attend school as normal and those in S1-3 are still attending.
