Coronavirus cases for Vale of Glamorgan over entire pandemic

Case rates for the Vale THE areas of the Vale of Glamorgan with the lowest cases of coronavirus throughout the pandemic have been revealed. According to Public Health Wales daily data there has been 7,436 cases (at the time of publication) of coronavirus in the Vale of Glamorgan throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. In a breakdown of cases in each area of the Vale, throughout the entire pandemic, it was revealed that four areas in the Vale had a total case rate of less than 400 (at the time of publication). Which four areas in Vale of Glamorgan have the lowest case rates throughout the pandemic?

The figures from Public Health Wales (PHW) have shown which areas have the highest and lowest rates of coronavirus cases in recent days. The new figures focus on areas containing around 2,000-6,000 households (known as Middle Layer Super Output Areas, or MSOAs) and are based on rolling case rates for the past week, the past 21 days, and since the pandemic began. Across the Vale, Cowbridge had the highest weekly case rate in the week from March 27 to April 2 with 62.1 cases per 100,000. The number of cases confirmed in the area was four. 

Cases fall again in Vale with rate now third-lowest in Wales

IN THE week to February 26 the Vale recorded 52 new cases – down from 94 on the previous seven days, and 109 the week before. The rolling weekly case rate for the region in the week to February 26 was 38.9 – the third lowest in Wales, and considerably lower than the Wales case rate average of 57.1. In the previous seven days, the weekly rolling case rate for the Vale was 70.4. More specifically, Barry West and Rhoose recorded the highest cases in the Vale in the seven days to February 26, with eight each. Barry West had four cases the previous week while Rhoose had 12. Penarth recorded the second highest numbers in the Vale in the week to February 19 with 14 cases, but in the seven days to February 26 there were six cases in Penarth.
