Joanna Wane meets the wāhine skate crew getting girls off the sidelines. According to the Urban Dictionary, a skater boy is a guy who skateboards but a skater girl probably just wants to date one of them.
Try telling that to TruSkaterChick4life ( Some skater girls can ACTUALLY skateboard, she posted), or to 13-year-old Brazilian Rayssa Leal, currently ranked second in the world for women s street skateboarding and on track to compete at the Tokyo Olympics, where skateboarding is set to make its debut.

Police have confirmed a body was found in a burning car in Flat Bush, Auckland, on the evening of March 6. Kunal Khera’s body was found after emergency crews were called to a car fire at Barry Curtis Park, off Chapel Rd, in Flat Bush at 8:10pm Saturday. Counties Manukau Detective Senior Sergeant Natalie Nelson said after extensive enquiries, the 26-year-old’s death would be referred to the coroner.

Police have referred Kunal Khera’s death to the coroner. “We are ensuring that Mr Khera’s family in India are being kept updated and providing them with as much support as we can,” Nelson said.

Police found 26-year-old Kunal Khera dead in his vehicle in a carpark at in Flat Bush s Barry Curtis Park on Saturday night.
Detective Senior Sergeant Natalie Nelson says after extensive enquiries, it s being referred to the Coroner.
She says his family in India are being updated and provided with as much support as possible.

the Indian Weekender confirmed. The ceremony will start at 4 p.m.
26-year-old Kunal Khera s body was found in a burning car in the parking space of Barry Curtis Park in Flat Bush, East Auckland, on Saturday, March 6.
Emergency services were called to the location at around 8:10 p.m. on Saturday when the public noticed smoke billowing of a vehicle in the public park.

The death of a car groomer is shrouded in mystery after his body was discovered in a burnt-out car.
Police are yet to establish why Kunal Khera, 26, was found in the burning car in a Flat Bush park in south-east Auckland about 8.10pm on Saturday night.
Mr Khera is from the city and had previously worked at the Rub-A-Dub Valet Carwash in Epsom, friend Kavrpal Singh said.
But Mr Singh said since 2019 the 26-year-old had left to work more than 1,000km away at Christchurch Airport and it is unclear what he would have been doing back in Auckland.
